Role Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Energy Projects Associate to own the project lifecycle for reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for our growing portfolio of data center locations. As the Senior Energy Projects Associate, you’ll support the delivery of Rowan’s power infrastructure solutions by working with leading utilities partners to energize critical projects on time and on budget to meet Rowan’s capacity and reliability requirements, and partner with customers to meet Rowan’s sustainability objectives.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience managing multiple large scale interconnection projects, including developing and contracting both medium and high voltage solutions, possess a strong project management background, and a passion for renewable energy and sustainability. In this role, you will work directly with power utilities during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of a project. Internally, you will partner closely with site development, engineering, construction, and operations team to drive successful project energization. To succeed, candidates need to understand the technical nature of this work, effectively manage a critical path schedule, reliably deliver in constrained and ambiguous environments, and tactfully escalate and report to organizational leaders and partners.
Travel: Ability to travel up to (30%) for company gatherings, utility meetings and project site visits
Location: Strong preference for candidates to be in Denver, CO, or Seattle, WA
Essential Responsibilities
Lead overall project integration and energization for utility owned scope supporting a rapidly growing portfolio of hyperscale data center projects.
Manage multiple utilities and contractors to deliver power infrastructure.
Negotiate and execution project agreements with utility partners .
Partner with customers to achieve energy-related sustainability goals via implementation of renewable technologies for a data center project.
Coordinate communication and deliverables between utility partners and internal stakeholders.
Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. engineering or construction management) or at least five (5) years of experience in project management in the data center or energy industry
At least three (3) years of technical power infrastructure project experience (5 years preferred)
Certifications needed: Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)
Technical expertise related to transmission and distribution infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, and operations.
Working knowledge of US energy systems and interconnection grids (Preferred)
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with MS Project preferred.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong organizational skills, comfort with ambiguity, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment.

Compensation Range: $105K - $130K
