L.A. Fuess Partners – DALLAS is looking for an HR Administrative Assistant to join our team!

About Us:

L. A. Fuess Partners is a structural engineering firm of over 120 people and growing, headquartered in Dallas with several additional offices.

The HR Administrative Assistant will provide critical administrative support to the HR team.

What to Expect:

• Perform onboarding and orientation of new employees.
• Verify I-9 documentation, completing forms and following-through with updates as required.
• Update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR matters including benefits, policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
• Assist in planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
• Assist with internal publications such as our employee microsite, newsletter and employee policy manual.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of various HR and recruiting projects.
• Serve as backup coverage for the reception desk during absences and emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR role.
• 2+ years of Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
• Basic HR knowledge including onboarding and benefits.
• A/E/C industry experience is a plus.

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Adept at prioritizing, scheduling, and multitasking.
• Ability to work independently.
