We are offering a contract for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant position in Charlottesville, Virginia. The HR Assistant will be the first point of contact within the HR suite, handling various responsibilities from managing recruitment efforts to overseeing the employee recognition program.

Responsibilities:

• Greet staff and vendors upon arrival at the HR Suite, ensuring a welcoming environment
• Handle the HR email inbox and fax emails daily, forwarding them to the appropriate individual for further action
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of human resources policies, procedures, and regulations
• Assist staff with inquiries related to FMLA, Workers Compensation, Leave Request, Direct Deposit changes, among others
• Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers, serving as a point of contact for recruitment, selection, and hiring-related queries
• Review, revise, and manage job descriptions and employment advertisements
• Attend job fairs and interface with college campus representatives to promote the company's interest in the behavioral health field
• Assist with onboarding efforts, including collection of paperwork and issuance of staff identification badges and access cards
• Oversee the employee recognition program, which includes mailing employee birthday cards and managing the service anniversary gift program
• Perform tasks related to document and data collection pertinent to the daily operations of Human Resources, including data entry, tracking, data assurance, and reporting
• Manage and maintain employee files and documents, both physical and electronic.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role
• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Knowledge of Ceridian software
• Skilled in using HRMS systems
• Experience with About Time software
• Proficient in auditing processes and practices
• Experience conducting background checks
• Understanding of various benefit functions
• Excellent customer service skills
