Job Overview

The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for selling the twiist portfolio of products to customers with a consultative approach and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide the best possible customer experience. Additionally, the Senior Inside Sales Specialist will assist with onboarding and mentoring new Inside Sales Specialists and will participate in special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strong sales results and accomplishments, excellent business acumen, and the ability to quickly learn complex technical material, particularly in healthcare or diabetes. They must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the candidate should excel at collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders in a cross-functional role. This position involves frequent customer interaction and communication to ensure a positive and professional experience, with a focus on gaining customer buy-in for Sequel's product portfolio.

The Senior Inside Sales Specialist, in addition to the above, will provide coaching feedback to new hires after they complete initial training, act as first line escalation support for the Inside Sales department, mentor and support newly hired Inside Sales Specialists, and participate in special projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Sales and Promotion : Promote and sell Sequel’s product portfolio, including the twiist device, to meet or exceed business development goals within the assigned sales territory.
  • Field Sales Support : Collaborate with Territory Business Leaders and Clinical Diabetes Specialists within specific territories to drive new customer starts
  • Outbound Sales Calls : Make outbound sales calls to customers who have shown interest in the twiist device, explaining product benefits and how twiist compares to competitors.
  • Inbound Call Management : Manage incoming queue calls, addressing customer inquiries and providing information about products and services.
  • Customer Needs Assessment : Work to understand customers' underlying needs or issues and provide tailored information and solutions.
  • Benefits Communication : Communicate with customers about the benefits of Sequel’s products and pharmacy benefits.
  • Customer Journey Management : Manage communication with customers throughout their product journey, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Salesforce Documentation : Perform all required documentation and data entry in Salesforce.
  • Industry Knowledge : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitive products.
  • Coordination : Coordinate with the field team, doctor's offices, and customers to ensure effective customer onboarding.
  • Feedback and Improvement : Offer feedback on process improvements to enhance sales and customer experience.

The Senior Inside Sales Specialist will have the following additional responsibilities: 

  • Transitions Coach : Actively spend time observing and providing coaching feedback to new hires after they complete initial training 
  • Escalation Resolution: First line escalation support for the Inside Sales department.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and support onboarding of newly hired Inside Sales Specialists 
  • Special Projects : Participate in and offer critical feedback on special projects as needed
Minimum Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare or consumer product related field. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Sales experience in a medical or health-related environment is required. 
  • Knowledge of diabetes and experience supporting customers with diabetes is required. 
  • Experience supporting customers through the pharmacy channel is required.
  • Bilingual Candidates preferred. 
  • Experience in promoting an AID system is preferred. 
  • Experience providing remote support, particularly in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.
  • Prior B2B or B2C experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates persistence and creative problem-solving skills to address obstacles and challenges to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Delivers oral and written communications that make an impact and persuade their intended audiences. Effectively handles interactions at all levels and appropriately responds to sensitive situations.
  • Effective Self-Management and Action Orientation.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and operates with a sense of urgency and passion for achieving sales goals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in the face of difficult and/or challenging situations.
  • Effectively handles multiple challenges or tasks through prioritization and multi-tasking.
  • Position remotely based, but requires occasional travel to home office in Manchester, NH.

For the Senior Inside Sales Specialist: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare or consumer product related field. 
  • Demonstrated history of growth and promotion through career and ability to take on special projects
