We are seeking an experienced and driven Lateral Associate specializing in IP Litigation to join a leading team in Denver, CO. This role offers the chance to work on complex intellectual property cases for a globally recognized law firm known for its excellence in litigation.

The firms IP litigation practice leads the industry by addressing cutting-edge legal challenges and representing prominent clients in sectors such as technology, life sciences, and biotechnology.   • Federal Court Expertise: Successfully managing high-profile cases in federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

In this position, you will:
  • Represent clients in intellectual property and patent litigation matters, including high-profile disputes in federal courts and before the PTAB.
  • Develop and execute innovative legal strategies tailored to each clients needs, drafting motions, briefs, and pleadings of the highest quality.
  • Handle PTAB disputes and contribute to all stages of trial and appeal preparations, including working with expert witnesses and preparing oral arguments.
  • Collaborate with a team of highly skilled attorneys to navigate cutting-edge legal challenges in industries such as technology, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise
  • Law school graduate from 2018-2021 with demonstrated experience in IP or patent litigation.
  • Prior experience working on matters involving software, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices is highly valued.
  • Strong exposure to high-stakes litigation involving complex technical subject matters.
Educational Credentials
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school with exceptional academic credentials.
  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.

  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and design effective litigation strategies.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Demonstrated capacity to work in cross-functional teams while mentoring junior associates.

Additional Attributes
  • Experience with Federal Circuit appellate practice, PTAB disputes, or U.S. Court of Appeals clerkships is a significant advantage.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar or eligibility to waive into Colorado.
