The Role: Lateral Associate - Litigation | Houston, TX We are seeking an entrepreneurial and driven Lateral Associate specializing in Litigation to join a prestigious firms newly established litigation team in Houston, TX. This is a rare opportunity to play a foundational role in shaping a world-class practice while working on a diverse array of challenging and high-impact cases.
In this position, you will: - Represent clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, appeals, antitrust, constitutional law, energy, oil and gas, and class actions.
- Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
- Participate in appellate and trial proceedings, including oral arguments and hearings.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative legal strategies.
- Contribute to the growth and success of a newly launched litigation practice.
Candidate Profile Were looking for candidates who bring:
- Experience: Law school graduate from 20182020 with prior exposure to litigation practices.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Expertise: Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Additional Qualifications: District court or appellate court clerkship experience strongly preferred.
