This individual will have ability to operate tig/mig welder. Set up parts to be welded
using jigs fixtures and have the ability to make welding fixtures if required. Ability to use
assorted hand tools required to complete job. Follow work order instructions, blue print
drawings or verbal instructions.

Level I (Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Material cutting
• Reading & understanding blue prints
• Review work orders for correctness compared to print
• Knowledge of manufacturing process
• Ability to recognize material differences ie: stainless, tungsten, cold rolled etc.
• Use of all styles of measurement devices ex: calipers, micrometers, depth gages etc.
• Operate TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas and/or MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding equipment.
• Correct selections of electrodes, tips, and rods for the particular metal to be welded.
• Select correct amperage and wire feed to weld the particular metal
• Ability to weld various metals, i.e.: tungsten, aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel etc. out of thin wall material to heavy gauge material.
• Layout & set-ups parts for welding using jig fixtures, clamps, hand tools per blue prints.
